Buwayhid were Persians ( and some other historians relate them to Daylem ), 3 Brothers, worked for the Daylemi Army Leader Makan Bin Kali, the later lost to the Mardawich, from their, the worked with Mardawich. They started their interest in Iraq at Basra , when Ahmed Bin Buwayh tried to occupy it in 331 AH/ 942 AD, but he was defeated by Wali Al-Basra Abdullah Al-Baridi.They tried again in 332 which failed again, tried 333 AH and was defeated this time by Caliph Al-Mustakfi Army. In the 4th time, the collection of Ibn Shirzad ( the chief amir of Madinat Al-Salam ), Yanal Gousha the Amir of Wasit, Ahmed Bin Buway , all of the Persians ! made it easy for Bin Buwayh to occupy Basra in 334 AH/ 945 AD , then had a successful attempt at ceasing Madinat Al-Salam in th same year. In Madinat Al-Salam, in the attendance of Buwayh Amir, the Caliph Al-Mustakfi was Blinded using Hot rods and ousted as a caliph, and Al-Muti' was enthroned instead as caliph. The Buwayhid controlled parts of Iraq including Madinat Al-Salam during the reign of 5 Abbasid Caliphs: Al-Mustakfi Billah 333-334 AH/ 944-945 AD Al-Muti' Billah 334-363 AH/ 946-974 AD Al-Tayi' Lillah 363-381 AH/ 974-991 AD Al-Qadir Billah 381-422 AH/ 991-1031 AD Al-Qa'im Bi Amr Allah 422-467 AH/ 1031-1075 , Buwayhid Practically ruled in Iraq to 447 AH only.
